We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Learn to Play Ringette Instructor to join our team and help young athletes develop their skills in this dynamic sport.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both playing and coaching ringette and or previous background of instruction within the specific area being applied for, with a passion for fostering the growth and development of aspiring players.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and instruct weekly Learn to Play sessions.
- Develop and implement lessons tailored to various skill levels.
- Provide motivating incentives and plan extras to create a sense of team and belonging within the group.
- Provide feedback to athletes to help develop their skills.
- Communicate with parents any relevant information through TeamLinkt
- Ensure adequate helpers or Jr. Coaches will be available each week and help to find more if need be.
- Communicate with Jr. Coaches to allow them to know the weekly plan and to help them grow and develop their leadership skills.
- Help plan and run Christmas party and end of the year party.
- Plan for any absences you will have by providing lesson plans and information needed for the guest instructor.
- Provide feedback and recommendations to the Director of Children’s ringette.
Qualifications:
- Skill Development: Proven ability to design and execute training programs that enhance athletes’ skills and abilities.
- Playing Experience: Previous playing experience is not required but consideration will be given to those with playing experience.
- Instructing Experience: Experience coaching or instructing athletes, especially beginners, is an asset.
Compensation Package:
Lead Instructor: $50 per hour (will invoice 2 times per year)
