U16A Attack - Jen Best
Jen has lived and breathed ringette since she was 5 years old and brings over 20 years of coaching experience to our association. Her recent coaching path has followed her two daughters, and watching this age group transition into teenagers has inspired her approach to the game. She enjoys working with U16 athletes because they are at an exciting stage where the athletes are ready to tackle complex, fast-paced team systems.
Her philosophy centers on creating a competitive yet supportive environment where athletes can grow their skills and confidence. Jen prioritizes a team-first mindset—valuing effort, attitude, and coachability just as much as talent. She is dedicated to ensuring the rink is a safe, powerful, and empowering space where athletes can build resilience and lifelong friendships. While competing is a key focus, Jen defines a successful season by the team’s overall growth and long-term love for the game.
